Dr. Josué Gutiérrez is the founder and lead family physician of Innovative Community Health Institute (ICHI), built on a simple belief: that every patient — regardless of income, language, or background — deserves modern, dignified, evidence-based primary care.
Born in Nicaragua but lived most of his life in Guatemala. He graduated Magna Cum Laude in Biology and Chemistry from the University of the Ozarks, then continued with a research internship at Johns Hopkins Medical School, and earned his MD from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences — where his classmates elected him Class President all four years.
He completed his family medicine residency at the Lincoln Medical Education Program in 2016, where he was named Clinician of the Year and helped lead the program to become one of the top-performing residencies in the nation.
In August 2019, when the clinic he worked in was scheduled to close, Dr. Gutiérrez purchased it and founded ICHI — refusing to let his community lose access to care.

Nacido en Nicaragua pero vivió la mayor parte de su vida en Guatemala. Se graduó Magna Cum Laude en Biología y Química de la Universidad de los Ozarks, luego continuó con una pasantía de investigación en la Escuela de Medicina Johns Hopkins y obtuvo su título de médico en la Universidad de Arkansas para las Ciencias Médicas — donde sus compañeros lo eligieron Presidente de Clase los cuatro años.
